I have not touched my LJ in a few months.

There are several reasons for this, among which...

oldest man on the internet

twitter posts taking over the usually relevant information I used to find here

people who when I threw up the white flag could never let anything go

the fact that I was predictable enough that me and a dear friend actually had a fight over LJ

I decided I'd take a break, and I feel it was valid.

If you think I missed anything, or want to hear any of my stories... ask here. I will be glad to fill you in, and would love to hear how you've been doing.

I will be doing a little differently in this space than I have prior, and if I fail at it, perhaps starting up a different space... come to think of it, that sounds more likely, especially with the inception (might not even be the right word) of some russian dating site owning the LJ. in the past few months, the internet just keeps letting me down, (for instance, see http://www.google.com/search?q=gun+arm+site:wikipedia.org) ... so I have limited all of my interaction with it to storage (I have google docs) and schedule maintenance (see my Myspace, Facebook and G-cal)

hell, I am not even usually on AIM anymore.

I make decisions that me from 6 months ago wouldn't. I am much more content, though.

I grow really tired of fiction lately... as excited as I am to see modern first-run Star Trek, as well as Wolverine and Terminator... it saddens me that the last real original compelling sci-fi was Firefly. Not that firefly is the problem, it's the infrequency. Heroes, for instance, is getting outright BORING.

Shots every hour on the hour with me except midnight. At midnight, I do shots with the owner as we share a birthday.

HOWEVER... Those of you whom I have ever considered friends who don't have anything better to do that night should come out. Don't "maybe" come... you know you are just going to be watching family guy reruns and eating ben and jerry's... at least one of you motherfuckers is going to meet the love of your life that night... don't be that friend of mine still complaining that they never meet anyone when it's because you never leave the fucking house...

I have several Christians in my friends list who are all intelligent and consistent.

How many of you (christians and non-christians) believe in a creation story or believe generally in creationism?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the analogy for the world being created. I like a lot of the parables and stories that come from the dozens of creation stories, myths, and legends I have heard.

I also like imagining any of them being a symbol for the way things actually went down.

"Yeah, first there was nothing, then there was something. Then there was water. Then there was land. Then there were animals and then there were people. Then god(s)/goddess(es) took a nap."

I am not a scientist. I don't care how long each of these things took. I am inclined to believe it wasn't a handful of days. I am also inclined to believe that if one animal is similar to another, that it's possible that we are related.

I was not there when the Earth was created, however... I think you'd have to be gullible or stupid to believe that it's only 10,000 years old or less (barring intervention from some deity). Though that's not what's obvious. What's obvious is that Dinosaurs are really awesome.

I also don't care what sparked any sort of big bang or any thing similar. I don't care if god(s)/goddess(es) guided any sort of evolution.

I don't know where else I am going with this.
